The Vitamin + Supplement Protocol For Perimenopause and Menopause!

If you’re experiencing hot flashes, mood swings, sleep disturbances, sluggishness, and/or decreased sex drive, anxiety or depression you may be experiencing symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. What a symptoms list!

It can be confusing to know where to start. This is why we wanted to create this blog post about vitamins and supplements for this unique phase of life.

The simple Peri/Menopause Vitamin Kit is a daily regimen curated to provide nutritional support for overall wellness and to help smooth the perimenopause and menopause transition.

Our daily regimen provides nutritional and herbal support to help you feel more balanced and symptom-free.

If you’ve been around The Wellness Abode for a while, you know I love a good product breakdown. So here it goes…

FemGuard Plus Balance | the Hormone Supplement

Lots of “menopause supplements” focus on supporting estrogen or progesterone production and forget to include balancing and regulating supplements for the liver or inflammation pathways. FemGuard Plus Balance covers it all with hormone supportive herbs like Black Cohosh and Vitex. It also contains liver enhancing ingredients like DIM and Calcium-D-Glucarate to help establish proper estrogen elimination. Additionally, EGCG and Resveratrol work together to tame inflammation, while Magnesium, B6, B12, and folate promote healthy cellular and mitochondrial function!

GCO | the Blood Sugar Supplement

GCO natural blood sugar support

Despite our best efforts, many of us could use some help with blood sugar balancing. GCO provides this help through ingredients such as Berberine HCL, Cassia Bark, Masson Pine Bark Extract, Astaxanthin, and Fulvic Acid. These ingredients optimize glucose and fat metabolism, as well as support balanced sex hormones.

GCO is a helpful supplement during many stages of life with Berberine HCL, Cassia Bark, Masson Pine Bark Extract, Astanxanthin, and Fulvic Acid in its list of key ingredients.

Hormone Tonic for Perimenopause & Menopause

A few years ago, I developed an essential oil trio that has become extremely popular at The Wellness Abode clinic and on Instagram. The trio is a thoughtful combination of Clary Sage (for healthy estrogen receptivity and production), Thyme and Celery Seed (for healthy progesterone production). This combination has been known to reduce hot flashes, diminish mood swings, and promote more restful sleep.

Because hormones are undergoing major fluctuations during perimenopause and menopause, symptoms can come on suddenly. This tonic promotes more balance and a more gradual shift in hormone changes to reduce the severity of symptoms.

To use the trio, simply combine equal parts of each essential oil into a 30mL dropper bottle. Then, consume 6-10 drops inside a veggie cap 1-2 times daily.

All three essential oils work harmoniously together to support estrogen and progesterone in a healthy and natural way.

The Protocol

Each supplement mentioned in this post is a great foundational block during perimenopause and menopause. However, they all work together beautifully to target symptom relief in a natural way.

You can shop the GCO + FemGuard Plus Balance as a duo on our website.

If you’d like to shop the essential oil trio (Clary Sage, Celery Seed and Thyme), you can do so here. The essential oil trio will last 3-4 months as the 3 bottles make up almost 2 full 30mL dropper bottles.
